I can work with you to create a website for most any purpose, be it an e-commerce site, a blog, or just a simple informational web site.

Here are some examples of sites I have worked on:

MurdochGardens.com – Florist in Easton, MD

For this project, an easily update-able web site was desired to keep pace with specific flower types coming in and out of stock. The content management system allows for the creation of new flower selections and easy removal of out-of-stock items. Some unique enhancements include an e-mail reminder service, enhance wedding consultation forms, and a tool to give the client control over delivery zone rates and minimums in the web site ordering process.

Search Engine Optimization was completed to make search engines more aware of specific products. Both traffic and sales increased with these enhancements. Improvements pushed the site to the top 3 result positions for desired search terms, frequently beating out competing websites from national groups selling similar services locally.

DesignReaction.org – WordPress Customization

DesignReaction.org creates a new platform for exhibiting and distributing social, political, and environmental poster designs.

Design Reaction serves the graphic design community, non-profit organizations and the general public in two unique ways. Foremost, it serves as an online community for designers interested in designing visual reactions to timely issues in the form of posters. Design Reaction makes high quality graphic design work available to non-profit organizations via the Internet. Secondly, the site serves as a clearinghouse for existing posters to spread the messages that we as designers feel are so important to the welfare of our society.

For this site, I started with the WordPress content management system. I added several necessary features:

  • Upload ability for artists to Submit Posters with various requirements/configurations.
  • Administrator Users can review and then publish or deny uploaded posters.
  • Non Profit groups can create a “Call For Posters” to assist their cause.
  • A Dynamic Gallery for all posters search-able by name, description, and tags.
  • Custom Theme development from Designer’s specifications to tie the entire site together with a unified design.
